Interview with Louise Rose-Innes

My favourite pen is a black gel rollerball that writes so smoothly, it’s a pleasure to use. I use it to make notes when I’m plotting my book, or when I have a sudden brainwave and have to write the idea down in my notebook. I have two and one is always with me.

I’m a visual person, so when buying a notebook I’ll go by how it looks. My favourite is my journal, which is flower-patterned with Live for Today emblazoned on the cover. I have discovered bullet journaling, thanks to Instagram, and am now jotting down so much more about my daily life than I ever did before. I’ve always had a diary, but went for long periods without writing in it much, but now I jot down everything from reminders to special projects to things I’m grateful for. It’s therapeutic and I love it.

I use a reporters pad which is just a standard notepad that I take with me most places. It’s for ideas, plotting, character sketches and workshop notes. I have about ten now, and I keep them all. There are gold nuggets of information in each of them. I really must find a way to index them, so I know at a glance what’s inside. I’m forever looking for a piece of information that I’ve written down in one of them and now can’t find.

Carmen_newI write contemporary romance and romantic suspense. My latest book, Forever Yours, is a heart-warming love story that flits between London and Barcelona. Carmen and Jet have painful pasts, and they could never really heal on their own, but together, anything is possible.

FOREVER YOURS

A new start…
After finding her boyfriend in bed with another woman, Carmen is devastated. How could she not have seen this coming? The warning signs were there, but she was blinded by love. Never again will she fall into that trap. With her opera-singing career on the rise, Carmen moves to London for a new start. She signs with the up-and-coming boutique artist agency, Adagio, run by the charismatic and dynamic Jet Anderson. Despite their obvious attraction, Jet is lethal with women, and Carmen is determined not to fall under his spell. A task that is easier said than done…

An old wound…
Jet has met hundreds of beautiful women in his life but none are a match for the Spanish-born opera singer, Carmen Levanté. After a devastating relationship destroyed his first marriage and ended his own singing career, Jet is determined to hold the exotic and talented beauty at a distance. That is until Carmen gets beneath his skin, and he begins to fall…
